Run by two experienced Evantas tutors — and former students of the selective system ourselves — this is an intensive program for current Year 7 students preparing to sit the Year 8 selective entry exam next year. Across 40 weeks, students build genuine mastery in both Maths and English, with regular timed practice that mirrors the real exam.
From our experience teaching — and as former selective students — we've found smaller classes drive far more individual growth than the large-group approach used by other centres. That's why we cap every class at just six students, for a more focused, productive classroom.

Our Mathematics program for Years 4–10 builds strong, confident problem solvers by developing core fundamental skills while encouraging more advanced thinking. We prepare junior students in Years 4–6 by strengthening number fluency, arithmetic, and early algebra so the transition into high school maths feels smooth and manageable.
Our secondary maths program focuses on more advanced concepts, centred around clear methods that make it easier for students to understand and apply what they learn — so they feel confident approaching questions and thinking through problems independently.
The overall goal is to build the thinking and confidence needed to move into higher-level maths in Years 11 and 12.

VCE Maths can feel daunting, and we often see students dread SACs and final exams. Our VCE Maths program removes that fear and helps students feel prepared and confident as they approach assessments and exams.
We offer a range of classes to suit different year levels and pathways. For Year 10 students looking to accelerate, we run Pre-VCE Methods and Pre-VCE General Maths to build strong foundations, plus standard VCE Mathematical Methods and General Mathematics across Units 1–4.
Class sizes stay small — usually four to five students — so we can support everyone closely and make sure no one falls behind.
Our English program is engaging, structured, and rewarding for students from Years 4–12. In the junior years, schools often only briefly cover key reading and writing skills — our program follows a clear pathway across reading, writing, and grammar so students build strong foundations.
In secondary school, lessons focus on writing, textual analysis, and clear, cohesive responses as students prepare for higher-level English, including VCE and IB pathways. For students ready to move ahead of their year level, we offer the EEP (English Extension Program) — advanced texts, deeper comprehension, and stronger analytical writing.
Our VCE English program is fully aligned with the VCAA study design and prepares students across all areas of Units 1–4, including text response, argument analysis, and analytical writing. Students learn to interpret texts deeply, structure responses clearly, and meet VCAA marking criteria with precision.
We place strong emphasis on SAC and exam performance — proven exam techniques, high-scoring essay structures, and time-management strategies. Through regular practice, detailed feedback, and clear guidance on VCAA expectations, students build the skills, discipline, and confidence to perform at their best.
Our Science program gives students a genuine head start across biology, chemistry, and physics from the middle primary years through to early secondary. While many programs focus only on basic content, we prioritise deep understanding, application, and scientific thinking.
As students progress, we introduce more challenging concepts and application-style questions to strengthen reasoning and problem-solving. We also offer pre-VCE preparation in physics and biology — building familiarity with key ideas, terminology, and thinking skills before senior school.

Our VCE Chemistry and Biology programs are fully aligned with the current VCAA study designs and assessment expectations. We prepare students for SACs and exams with a clear focus on the skills that are actually assessed: application, interpretation of data, and structured exam responses.
We go beyond simply teaching content. Students learn to apply key concepts, interpret unfamiliar questions, and respond under timed conditions using proven exam techniques — building the confidence to stay ahead throughout Units 1–4 and into the final exam.
Confidence in speaking is one of the most valuable skills a student can develop, yet many struggle to express their ideas clearly in class, presentations, and interviews. Our program builds confident communicators who can speak with clarity and present with confidence in any setting.
Students learn to structure speeches, develop strong arguments, and think on their feet in a supportive but challenging environment. Through speaking practice, guided debates, and presentation training, they build the articulation and leadership skills that support school presentations, scholarship interviews, and future pathways.
